On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, exactly one year passed since the death of our friend, colleague and comrade-in-arms Dušan Fatrsík, who succumbed to an insidious disease at the age of 46.

     Dušan was at the birth of the Regiment and was part of the group that in 1993 built and founded the 3rd Special Detachment in Slovakia, the predecessor of today's 5th Special Forces Regiment. In Dušan's memory, the Intelligence Support Detachment organized a shooting competition – Memorial of Dušan Fatrsík.

      A total of 33 members of the Regiment signed up for the first and certainly not the last year, which began with a minute of silence. The competition took place in the form of a duel of pairs in combat gear (shoot-off) in shooting from a side arm at a short distance. The target was six metal targets.

     The winner received the challenge trophy cup "Duel Winner", which will decorate the premises of the 3rd Special Operations Detachment (ODB 530) for a year. The second place was taken by a member of Intelligence Support Detachment, and the prize for placing on the third place went to a member of the 2nd Special Operations Detachment (ODB 520).
