On 18-22 October 2023, a special training "Core Tasks Battle Drills" took place in the USA - Indiana, which was attended by 6 members of the 5th Special Regiment Žilina. This training was conducted in cooperation with the United States Special Forces B Company 2nd Battalion 19th Special Forces Group and focused on basic tactical activities of special forces.
     During this intensive training, members had the opportunity to improve their skills in the area of jumping from a CH-47 Chinook helicopter and marksmanship training. As part of the marksmanship training, they engaged in live fire with single-shot small arms, sniper rifles, and mortars to round out their combat readiness skills.
In addition to training with the US SF NG partner unit, the Slovak Special Forces established important contacts and strengthened relations with the members of ODA 9224, as well as with the command of the entire Bravo Company.. This company is responsible for organizing and securing the upcoming April "Ridge Runner 2024" exercise, which will take place in West Virginia and focuses on unconventional warfare.
     The liaison activity with the American partners had a positive impact on the preparation of the Slovak Special Forces for the upcoming exercise "Ridge Runner 2024". This cooperation has enabled the exchange of experience and enriched the training process with valuable knowledge from the United States environment.
